| dc.description.abstract | A total of 18 vegetable hosts from seven families serving as alternate hosts of Phenacoccus solenopsis was recorede. Round melon, Beet root and Mesta were exclusive hosts of cotton season in respect of North, Central and South cotton growing zones.. Guar during cotton season, Sponge gourd, water melon, and okra in off season and tomato throughout the year served as alternate hosts for the mealybug. Seasonality and severity of mealybug on vegetable crops were used to formulate specific and general strategies for its management. | en_US |
