| Abstract/Description: | A healthy handloom industry requires a broad and varied production range, design intervention and appropriate marketing mechanisms for higher marketability. Handloom industry not only provides the basic necessities of life but also plays a vital role in economic growth of a country . Diversification of handloom products and adaptation of various traditional designs and styles to contemporary fashions and needs can open a new vista in the handloom . Instead of producing traditional stuff, new product range in handloom sector along with fusion of different motifs can able to catch the interest of domestic and international market |
