Abstract/Description: | A field experiment was conducted during Kharif, 2017 consisting of integrated nutrient management practices in Pearl millet inter cropped in Melia dubia based Agri-silvi system on sandy loam soils of Agroforestry Research Block, AICRP on Agroforestry, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The experiment was laid out in Randomized block design with three replication and eight treatments viz.,T1- Control (no fertilizer and manure), T2-100% RDF (80-40-30 NPK kg ha-1) through normal urea, T3-100% RDF through neem coated urea, T4-75% RD N + 25% N Poultry manure, T5-75% RD N + 25% N FYM, T6-75% RD N + Pongamia green leaf manure @ 10 t ha-1, T7-75% RD N + Azotobacter @ 500 g ha-1, T8-Sole crop without trees (100% RDF). Results of the experiment revealed that, sole crop without trees (T8) recorded significantly higher plant height and dry matter accumulation followed by 100% RDF through neem coated urea (T3) and 75% RD N + Pongamia green leaf manure 10 t ha-1(T6). Leaf area per plant is highest with T8but was on par with T6 and significantly superior to rest of the treatments. SPAD meter readings were found highest with T3 which was on par with T8 and significantly superior to all other treatments. Grain yield and stover yield were found significantly highest with T8 followed by T3 and T6 |
