Abstract/Description: The All India Coordinated Cotton Improvement Project of Indian Council of Agricultural Research was assigned the task of evaluating Bt cotton Hybrids in Central Zone during the year 2007-08. In the first year intra-hirsutum hybrid evaluation trial, two sets of trials viz, Trial set A consisting of 21 Bt test hybrids and three check hybrids ( one Bt Check (RCH 2 Bt) Non-Bt check (H8) and local non-Bt check hybrid) and Trial set B with 22 Bt test hybrids and same set of check hybrids were conducted. Both the sets of trials were carried out at 11 locations of Central zone with six under rainfed situations and five under irrigated situations. Irrigated locations were Surat, Junagadh, Talod, Khandwa, Banswara and rainfed locations were Akola, Nagpur, Nanded, Yawatmal, Bharuch and Indore.
