Description |
Grewia optiva Drummond belonging to family Tiliaceae is one of the most important fodder tree of north eastern and central Himalayas (Brandis, 1972). Its fodder can play an important role in improving the nutrition of livestock in the hills where the poverty of the farmers neither allows them to purchase concentrated feeds nor their small holdings allow them to resort to cultivation of nutritious leguminous fodder/forage crops (Sharma et al., 1966).
