Description |
The Simla District is th~ northernmost of the seven Districts of the Delhi Division, and-consists of several detached tracts in the Lower Himalayas between the Sutlej and Tauns rivers, surrounded by the territories of independent chiefs under the control of the Deputy Commissioner of Simla who is ex-officio Superintendent of the Simla Hill States. The total area of British territory included in the District is 102 square miles, the details of which are shown in Table 18 of Part B.
