Two experiments were conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Sriganganagar during
2009-10 to 2011-12 on brinjal crop to find out the optimum irrigation schedule and optimum dose & time of fertilizers application with drip irrigation. The soil of experimental site was sandy loam in texture, low in organic carbon (0.19%), having field capacity 16.2%, permanent wilting point 6.3%, medium in available P2O5 (33 kg/ha), and high in available K2O (330 kg/ha). The pH (1:2) and EC (1:2) of the soil were 8.1 and 0.2 dS/m, respectively. Drip irrigation at 1.0 ETc was found optimum irrigation schedule for brinjal. It gave 30.95 % higher fruit yield of brinjal and saved 24.62 % irrigation water over conventional surface irrigation. Under drip irrigation application of 80% of recommended dose of N and K fertilizer gave significantly higher fruit yield of brinjal.
