All economic activities have come to the level of near cessation. Even when industrial production stops the agricultural production has to continue as humans can’t stop eating in any situation hence, supply of adequate and nutritious food to the people has to be ensured all the times. This challenge has still larger dimensions in India as we have to feed about 1.35 billion people in our country when it is difficult to import food from international markets. If agricultural production stops then our national food reserves will not last beyond few months, hence agricultural support and extension system must keep on working even during the lockdown through electronic communication.
