During the last 30 years, lot of advances were made in the INM of tropical tuber crops with respect to the natural and applied resources. This has made tremendous improvement in tuber yield in addition to their impact of improving soil health with minimum use of fertilizers based on soil test and plant requirement. Planting material itself being nutrient use efficient has contributed in reducing the application of major nutrients like N, P, K to a great extent. The secondary and micronutrient package evolved for crops like sweet potato and elephant foot yam were also described. Not Available |
