Research and development are the two facets of a coin, the value of which resides for long if the product/result is ecologically sustainable, socially acceptable, technically feasible and economically viable. Despite recent achievements in the field of science and technology, many issues still pinch when we look at the life of a common man in rural areas, especially in the tribal states of the world. the downtrodden masses need food security, healthy living and basic requirements of clothing and shelter on priority basis.
