| Abstract/Description: | The 7th Conference of Agricultural Research Statisticians was held for the first time in South India at U.A.S., Hebbal, Bangalore from 28th to 30th July, 1983. It was inaugurated by H. E. Mr. A. N. Banerjee Governor of Karnataka, presided over by Dr. N. G. Perur, Vice-Chancellor of University of Agricultural Sciences and Technical address was given by myself; There were five technical sessions followed by Plenary Session Prof. P. K. Bose, Ex. Pro-Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University delivered a special lecture on "Imbalances in Relative Growth Rates in Agriculture-Causes and Remedies". The Summary of Recommendations, made at this conference was prepared and distributed separately to all the Agricultural Universities, ICAR Institutes/Projects, Central and State Departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry. Forestry. Fisheries and also to the participants for taking necessary action on the concerned recommendations. In this Conference a total number of 187 Agricultural Statisticians (Appendix I) representing Agricultural Universities, ICAR, Institutes/Projects, Central and State Departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Forestry and Fisheries, participated. |
