| Abstract/Description: | A hot-melt adhesive based on lac without incorporating any synthetic resin has been developed. The adhesive was evaluated at IlCT, Hyderabad and it was found that composition could be used in packaging industry for joining similar surfaces e.g. stainless steel, MS, copper, aluminium, wood, paper, cotton etc. It is expected to boost utilization of lac as it has immense scope in the packaging industry. |
