| Abstract/Description: | One non-spiny variety, SPP-70 recorded 16% higher seed yield (1060 kg/ha) and 0.3% higher oil yield (291 kg/ha) than the non-spiny check, NARI-6 (seed yield: 915 kg/ha; oil yield: 290 kg/ha) at the national level in AICRP (Safflower) AVT-I-2015and has been promoted to AVT-II-2016. |
