| Abstract/Description: | The microscope is the essential instrument needed in the microbiology laboratory, since the microorganisms cannot be visible to naked eye because of their small size. It is mainly to observe the morphology of the microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi after performing the staining.Although, the microscope was first invented by Antonvan Leeuwenhoek in the early 1600s using magnifying lens, a simple tube and a stage to mainly observe the circulating blood cells and bacteria, but now-a-days, it is essentially used in several fields to make new discoveries using different types. The microscopes which are generally used in microbiology are classified based on the image generation by using physical principles. |
