| Abstract/Description: | Filed investigation was carried out for confirming the reaction of already selected and resistant castor genotypes against leafhopper and capsule borer from various locations. The test entries were evaluated under controlled conditions and high pest pressure. Genotyes (RG-3017, RG-43, RG-3023, RG-3000) with triple bloom were identified as highly resistant to leafhopper. Few genotypes resistant to leafhopper with low pest infestation and low hopper burn were also identified. RG-2520 having non-spiny capsules proved to be resistant to capsule borer. |
