| Abstract/Description: | THE PAPER DEALS WITH SOIL EROSION AND CONSEQUENT NUTRIENT LOSS PROBLEMS OF RAKAR SOILS ( ALFISOLS) OF BUNDELKHAND REGION. IT ALSO PRESENTS SUITABLE MEASURES AND LAND USE PRACTICES TO MITIGATE THE PROBLEM. DEEP TILLAGE ( 20- 40cm DEEP) WAS FOUND TO ENHANCE THE PROFILE WATER STORAGE AND INCREASED THE CROP YIELDS BY CONTROLLING RUNOFF, SOIL LOSS AND NUTRIENT LOSSES. |
