| Abstract/Description: | 3- YEAR RESULTS OF A FIELD STUDY CONDUCTED ON SILTY LOAM SOIL UNDER SUB- HUMID CLIMATE OF DEHRADUN TO FIND OUT THE MOST OPTIMUM DOSE OF N AND P FERTILIZERS FOR DIRECT SOWN RAINFED RICE INDICATED THAT GRAIN YIELD INCREASED WITH ADDED N AND P UPTO 160 KG N AND 80 KG/Pha BUT INCREASE IN YIELD ABOVE 80 kg N/ha WAS MARGINAL. THE N AND P UPTAKE BY PLANT WAS ALSO INCREASED SUBSTANTIALLY UPTO 80 kg N AND 17.5 kg P /ha ONLY. |
