HB3, HB4 AND HB-5 , WERE EVALUATED IN THE BLACK SOILS OF BELLARY UNDER DRY-CUM-WET IRRIGATION FOR TWO KHARIF SEASONS OF 1973 AND 1974, WITH THE APPLICATION OF GRADED DOSES OF NITROGEN AT 0, 40,80 120,160 AND 200kg/ha. HB-3 PERFORMED BETTER THAN THE OTHER HYBRIDS AND THE ECONOMICALLY OPTIMUM DOSE OF NITROGEN WAS FOUND TO BE 166.4, 157.7 AND 130kg N/ha FOR HB-3 , HB-4 AND HB-5. |
