| Abstract/Description: | FOUR SEED DRILLS WERE TESTED FOR WHEAT ( VAR KALYANSONA) UNDER RAINFED CONDITIONS. THE SEEDLINGS EMERGENCE AND YIELDS OBTAINED WITH THE USE OF DRILLS WAS COMPARED WITH SOWING BEHIND LOCAL PLOUGH.. SIGNIFICANT INCREASE OF 28% IN THE YIELD WAS OBTAINED BY SOWING WITH NOBLE DRILL (29.6q/ha) AS COMPARED TO SOWING BEHIND COUNTRY PLOUGH ( 23 q/ha) OVER A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS. |
