| Abstract/Description: | Professor Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao has completed 100 years of his active life on September 10, 2020 which included 8 decades of his professional life in Statistical Sciences. Lot of academic programmes have been organized throughout the Globe to felicitate Professor Rao and his unparalleled contributions in theory and application of Statistical sciences. Professor C.R. Rao has left an indelible stamp in almost all areas of statistics. It is scarcely possible to describe the contours of Professor C.R. Rao''s research output. In this article, we shall present a brief biographical sketch of the living legend Professor C.R. Rao and shall also make a valiant attempt to highlight briefly few prominent results from Professor C.R. Rao’s Library of achievements in the area of Design of Experiments with special reference to agricultural sciences. |
