| Abstract/Description: | 253 lines were evaluated for root traits in raised structures of 30m length, 1.2 m height and 1.5 m width on either side of a central permanent partitioning wall by growing them in 2 replicates for 60-65 days (to coincide with maximum root growth) and at the end, roots were washed with a jet of water and measurements on root traits- length, weight and volume along with SCMR, SLA, total dry matter, leaf area , plant height are recorded. |
