| Abstract/Description: | NET RETURN OBTAINED FROM EUCALYPTUS+ BHABAR PLANTATION WERE COMPARED WITH NET RETURNS FROM MAIZE- WHEAT ROTATION UNDER RAINFED CONDITION IN SHIWALIK FOOTHILLS. DURING 9 YEARS ROTATION , EUCALYPTUS + BHABAR GAVE NET RETURN OF RS 7,910 /ha/year . MAIZE - WHEAT ROTATION GAVE NET RETURN OF RS 3,651 /ha/year UNDER THE BEST LAND AND WATER MANAGEMENT PRACTICES. THE B-C RATIO FOR EUCALYPTUS + BHABAR PLANTATION WAS 2.55 AND FOR MAIZE -WHEAT ROTATION 2.08 AT 10% DISCOUNT RATE. |
