| Abstract/Description: | FORTY GENOTYPES OF PIGEONPEA ( CAJANUS CAJAN (L) MILLSP) WERE TESTED DURING 1987 FOR CORRELATION BETWEEN LEAF ATTRIBUTES WITH GROWTH AND YIELD. WIDE DIFFERENCES WERE OBSERVED FOR ALL THE CHARACTERS. LAI AND LEAF AREA PER PLANT WERE POSITIVELY ASSOCIATED WITH DAYS TO FLOWERING AND MATURITY . NUMBER OF LEAVES PER PLANT WERE ALSO POSITIVELY ASSOCIATED WITH DURATION OF FLOWERING , MATURITY AND SEED YIELD PER PLANT. |
