| Abstract/Description: | GRASS ROOT STUDIES HAVE INDICATED THAT PENNISETUM CLANDESTINUM, TRIPOGON BROMOIDES, ERAGROSTIS AMABILIS AND CYNODON DACTYLON ARE VERY GOOD SOIL BINDERS. THEMEDA TRIANDRA ISCHAEMUM CILIARE AND PASPALUM DILATATUM ARE ALSO FOUND TO BE GOOD SOIL STABILIZERS . THE HERB CENTELLA ASIATICA , THOUGH DEVELOPING A FLAT AND DENSE CANOPY OVERGROUND HAS NOT PROVED TO BE AN EFFICIENT SOIL BINDER. |
