| Abstract/Description: | TRIALS ON CONTINUOUS , STAGGERED CONTOUR TRENCHES AND PITS WERE CONDUCTED AT VASAD FOR PLANTATION OF ACACIA ARABICA (WILD). STAGGERED CONTOUR TRENCH OF 3m x 45 cm x 60 cm DEPTH WITH RAISED MOUND OF 1 m x 60 cm HEIGHT WAS FOUND TO BE MOST SUITABLE ONE GIVING MEAN HEIGHT OF 452. 67 cM AND DIAMETER (COLLAR) OF 7.52 cm AT THE END OF FOURTH YEAR. IT WAS FOLLOWED BY STAGGERED CONTOUR TRENCH OF 3 m X 30cm x 45 cm DEPTH WITH RAISED MOUND OF 1m x 45 cm HEIGHT AND CONTINUOUS CONTOUR TRENCH OF 30 cm x 45 cm DEPTH WITH RAISED MOUND OF 1 m x 30cm. |
