| Abstract/Description: | NEARLY 30% OF RAVINES IN RAJASTHAN ARE IN KOTA DISTRICT ON THE BANKS OF RIVERS CHAMBAL, KALI SINDH, PARVATHI, PARWAN AND ALNIA. A RESURVEY WAS CONDUCTED IN 8 VILLAGES OF KOTA DISTRICT AFTER A SPAN OF 20 YEARS TO DETERMINE THE VARIATION IN THE COMPOSITION OF TABLE LANDS, SHALLOW (GI) , MEDIUM (G2) AND DEEP RAVINES (G3) . THE TOTAL RAVINE AREA IN 8 VILLAGES HAD INCREASED BY 379 ha FROM 2016 TO 2395 ha IN 20 YEARS. |
