GULLY RECLAMATION CLASSIFICATIONHAS BEEN DESCRIBED AND CONSERVATION MEASURES INVOLVING AGRONOMICAL , HYDROLOGICAL , ENGINEERING , AGRI- HORTICULTURE , AGROFORESTRY , SILVI PASTURE AND FORESTRY ASPECTS HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED TO TREAT DIFFERENT TYPES OF GULLIES AS PER THIS CLASSIFICATION . LOCALLY SUITABLE AGRICULTURAL CROPS OF IMPROVED GENOTYPES ARE SUGGESTED TO RECLAIM GULLIES OF 1,2,3 CLASSES WHILE FOR CLASS 4 GULLIES HAVING IRRIGATION FACILITIES , HORTICULTURAL FRUIT ARE RECOMMENDED. |
