| Abstract/Description: | ON THE BASIS OF CLIMATOLOGICAL PARAMETERS , USING FIVE DIFFERENT METHODS, RADIATION METHOD, BLANEY CRIDDLE APPROACH, THORNWAITE METHOD, MODIFIED PENMAN'S METHOD AND PAN EVAPORATION METHOD , THE EVAPOTRANSPIRATION REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN WORKED OUT FOR THE SEMI- ARID REGION IN AGRA. THE ET COMES OUT TO BE 1913, 1559,1581,2387 AND 2228MM, RESPECTIVELY BY THE ABOVE METHODS. AMONG THESE FIVE METHODS, MODIFIED PENMAN'S METHOD SEEMS TO BE MORE RATIONAL AND REALISTIC FOR SEMI- ARID CONDITIONS OF AGRA REGION. |
