| Abstract/Description: | LOW COST L.D.P.E FILM LINED TANKAS ( TANKS) WERE TRIED AT THE OPERATIONAL RESEARCH PROJECT ON WATERSHED MANAGEMENT AT FAKOT ON FARMER'S FIELDS. THE COST OF LDPE LINED TANKAS HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE LESS THAN HALF CEMENT MASONRY ONE FOR ONE CU M WATER STORED PER YEAR FOR THE EXPECTED LIFE PERIOD. AN ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE IN THIS PAPER TO HIGHLIGHT THE CONSTRUCTION PROCEDURE FOR LDPE TANKAS IN THE HILLY REGIONS. |
