| Abstract/Description: | THIS PAPER REPORTS THE RESULTS OF A STUDY CONDUCTED AT DEHRADUN TO DETERMINE THE WATER USE AND FERTILIZER USE EFFICIENCY OF WHEAT UNDER RAINFALL CONDITIONS. THE YIELD DATA INDICATED THE BENEFICIAL EFFECT OF SUPPLEMENTAL IRRIGATION IN ALL THE YEARS OF EXPERIMENTATION. INSPITE OF AHIGH YIELD IN CONTROL PLOT DUE TO GOOD RAINFALL , ABOUT 25% INCREASE IN YIELD WAS OBTAINED WITH ONE SUPPLEMENTAL IRRIGATION EITHER AT PRS OR CRI STAGE . SIMILARLY , THE EFFECT OF ADDED N WAS ALSO PRONOUNCED. |
