| Abstract/Description: | TO MAKE AN EFFECTIVE CONSERVATION FARM PLAN , INTERPRETATION OF SOIL INFORMATION FOR LAND CAPABILITY CLASSES HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. SOILS ARE CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO THEIR CAPABILITY FOR PRODUCING AND ACCORDING TO THE RISK OF SOIL DAMAGE IF THEY ARE MISMANAGED. FOR IRRIGATION, THE LAND AND SOIL ARE DIVIDED IN LAND IRRIGABILITY CLASSES AND SOIL IRRIGABILITY CLASSES. INTERPRETATION OF SOIL INFORMATION INTO RANGE SITE AND RANGE SITE CONDITION CLASSES HAVE ALSO BEEN DEVELOPED FOR DEVISING A CONSERVATION PLAN FOR GRASSLANDS. |
