| Abstract/Description: | N INTERCROPPING OF GRASS- LEGUME MIXTURE, SCENTED GERANIUM AND POTATO WERE TESTED FOR THEIR COMPATIBILITY WITH BLUEGUM TREES ON 16% SLOPE AT CSWCRTI , RESEARCH CENTRE, OOTACAMUND DURING 1980-91. THE CEONOMIC VIABILITY OF THESE FOUR ALTERNATIVES WERE WORKED OUT AT 10, 15 AND 20 % DISCOUNT RATES BCR, NPW AND PBP AND IRR CRITERION. THE ANALYSIS REVEALED THAT INTERCROPPING OF SCENTED GERANIUM WITH BLUEGUM IS MOST PROFITABLE THAN OTHER INTERCROPS OR SOLE CROP. |
