Abstract/Description: | The low pressure area over central parts of south Arabian Sea persists. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over southwest Arabian sea during next 48 hours. Since the system is away from the Indian coast, it will not create any adverse weather over Indian region. • A cyclonic circulation lies over Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal at lower levels. Under its influence, a low pressure area is very likely to form over central parts of South Bay of Bengal around 23rd November, 2020. It is likely to concentrate into a depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and move west-northwestwards towards Srilanka Tamil Nadu coast during subsequent 48 hours. • Under the influence of above system, rainfall activity over south Peninsula very likely to increase from 23rd November with scattered to fairly widespread rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm & lightning is very likely over Tamil Nadu and isolated over rest parts. Isolated heavy falls is also very likely over Tamil Nadu on 23rd and isolated heavy to very heavy on 24th November, 2020. • Minimum temperatures are very likely to fall by 2-4°C over most parts of central India and no significant change in minimum temperatures likely over East India during next 24 hours and fall by 3-5°C thereafter. • Cold wave at isolated places is also likely over Haryana, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh during next 2 days. |
