| Abstract/Description: | The Western Disturbance is now seen as a trough roughly along longitude 66°E to the north of 32°N between 3.1 km & 3.6 km above mean sea level. An induced cyclonic circulation is likely to form over central Pakistan & neighbourhood in the lower tropospheric levels during next 24 hours. Under its influence, scattered to fairly widespread rain/snow with isolated thunderstorms/hailstorms and gusty winds likely over Western Himalayan region (Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, GilgitBaltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) on 14th & 15th April. • Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, hail & gusty/squally winds very likely over parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and northeast India till 16th April. • Heat Wave conditions are likely to persist in Saurashtra & Kutch during next 48 hours. Heat wave conditions are likely over Gujarat region during next 24 hours. |
