Abstract/Description: | Conditions are becoming favourable for withdrawal of southwest Monsoon from West Rajasthan and adjoining areas around 28th September, 2020. • The Low Pressure Area lies over east Bihar & neighbourhood and it is likely to become less marked by tomorrow. A trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with above Low Pressure Area to westcentral Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast across northeast Jharkhand and Odisha in lower & middle tropospheric levels. • The Monsoon trough runs north of its normal position. • Under the influence of these systems, Isolated extremely heavy falls very likely over Meghalaya during next 24 hours. Isolated heavy to very heavy falls also very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya and isolated heavy falls over east Bihar, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and Nagaland, Mizoram & Tripura during next 24 hours. • A trough runs from south Chhattisgarh to South Interior Karnataka across Telangana and Rayalaseema in lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy falls, thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Interior Karnataka during next 24 hours. • Dry weather over most parts of the northwest India from 28th September onwards. • Moderate thunderstorm with lightning very likely at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, East Bihar, northeast Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Mizoram & Tripura during next 12 hours. |
