Abstract/Description: | The Western Disturbance now seen as a cyclonic circulation between 5.8 & 9.5 km above mean sea level over northeast Iran & adjoining Afghanistan. It is likely to move eastwards and under its influence, an induced cyclonic circulation is likely to form over central Pakistan & adjoining West Rajasthan during next 24 hours. Another Western Disturbance as a fresh one, is also likely to affect Western Himalayan region from 09th April onwards. Both of these systems, are likely to affect weather across northwest India from 06th April 2020 with peak intensity during 07th-09th April, with scattered to fairy widespread rain/thundershowers likely over Western Himalayan region during 07th to 09th April and over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi on 07th April 2020. Isolated thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, hail & gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) also likely over Western Himalayan region during 07th to 09th April and over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi on 07th April 2020. • Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/thunderstorm likely over northeast India during 08th and 09th April and isolated squall over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on 07th & 08th April. Isolated to Scattered rainfall/thunderstorm accompanied with lightning likely over eastern parts of India on 07th & 08th April. • Under the influence of the lower level Wind Discontinuity, thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds are likely over South India during next 3 days. Isolated heavy rainfall is also likely over Coastal & South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry and Kerala & Mahe during next 24 hours. |
