| Abstract/Description: | The physical and mechanical properties and the dyeing behaviour of milkweed fibres have been studied and compared with those of cotton, wool and rabbit hair fibres. Milkweed fibre has 14-19 g/tex tenacity and 32-36 % elongation. It has more normalized K/S value than cotton fibre for all the dye concentrations, the difference being higher at low dye concentration. |
