| Abstract/Description: | For the identification of population genetic markers in rohu Labeo rohita, uni-versal mitochondrial DNA primers of ND1/16s rRNA and ND5/6 genes weretested and found to amplify particular fragments. Restriction digestion of theamplified products showed polymorphism suggesting its potential as a geneticmarker for population studies. |
