| Abstract/Description: | Universally optimal neighbour balanced block designs have been obtained. For obtaining balanced sampling plans and polygonal designs, a linear integer programming approach has been developed. To deal with the situations, in which the variable under study is negatively correlated with the size measure of the units, inclusion probability inversely proportional to size sampling scheme has been introduced. Small area estimation methodology for zero inflated data has been developed and illustrated through real life examples. Crop yield forecasting and disease forewarning models have been developed using the technique of artificial neural networks. |
