| Abstract/Description: | In the present paper research work so far done on Indian echinoderms is reviewed. Various aspects such as history, taxonomy, anatomy, reproductive physiology, development and larval forms, ecology, animal associations, parasites, utility, distribution and zoogeography, toxicology and bibliography are reviewed in detail. Corrections to misidentifications in earlier papers have been made wherever possible and presented in the Appendix at the end of the paper. |
