Abstract/Description: | A field experiment was conducted during 1999-2001 on clay loam medium fertility soils of Udaipur Rajasthan. Sole FYM @10 tonnes/ha did not fulfill phosphorus needs of soybean and succeeding wheat crop. SSP as a source of phosphorus significantly improved yield and nutrient content of soybean when compared to SSP+low grade rock phosphate (1:1). However, higher soil P status was recorded in succeedig wheat crop when SSP+ low grade rock phosphate (1:1) was applied resulting in higher yield of succeding wheat crop. Application of 90 kg P2O5/ha increased the yield of soybean by 13.3 percent and succeeding wheat by 5.4 per cent over 30 kg P2O5 /ha. Combined application of FYM + PSB was found superior over FYM alone. |
