| Abstract/Description: | Decent work means meeting or exceeding core social standards- setting a threshold for work and employment which embodies universal rights, and which for a given society is consistent with its values and goals. In this context the issue that needs to be examined is whether the women agricultural workers enjoy decent work in India. What are those discriminations and inequities which affect women’s participation in agricultural activities. Men and women must have equal rights and access to the benefits of developmental interventions for broadbased sustainable development. |
