| Abstract/Description: | The present trough in easterly at mean sea level over southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu Coast and a cyclonic circulations over Comorin area & neighbourhood at lower levels and likely to become less marked during next 24 hours. Another trough in easterlies in lower levels is likely to affect south peninsular India from 15th November, 2020. Under the influence of above system: (i) Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Lakshadweep area during next 4-5 days. (ii) Isolated heavy rain also very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during next 5 days and over Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 16th & 17th November, 2020. • Under the influence of a Western Disturbance and its interaction with lower level easterlies: (i) Scattered to fairly widespread precipitation very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan & Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh; Isolated to Scattered rainfall over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh on 15th-16th Nov; Isolated rainfall over remaining parts of plains of northwest India and adjoining central India on 15th November, 2020. (ii) Isolated heavy falls also very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, GilgitBaltistan & Muzaffarabad on 14th-15th November and over Himachal Pradesh on 15th November, 2020. • Gradual rise in minimum temperature by 2-3°C over Northwest India and by 2- 4°C over Central India during next 2-3 days. No large change in minimum temperature over rest parts of the country during next 4-5 days. |
