Abstract/Description: | There is a strong wind discontinuity in the lower levels over Central India with moisture inflow from Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move southwestward and persist upto 18th February, 2021. Under its influence: (i) Light to moderate rainfall at a few / many places with isolated thunderstorm, lightning & hail likely over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during 16th-17th February. (ii) Light to moderate rainfall at a few places with isolated thunderstorm, lightning & hail likely over Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra during 17th-18th February and over Jharkhand, Telangana and North Interior Karnataka on 18th February. • Under the influence of low level easterlies, isolated rainfall / snowfall with isolated thunderstorm very likely over Uttarakhand on 16th February. • Dense to Very Dense Fog in isolated / some pockets over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh in the morning hours of 17th & 18th February and reduction in intensity & spatial coverage thereafter. • Warmer night temperatures are likely to continue over the plains of North India during next 4-5 days |
