| Abstract/Description: | The Low Pressure Area lies over central parts of East Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto midtropospheric levels. It is likely to become less marked by tomorrow, the 24 September, 2020. However, its associated cyclonic cyclonic circulation likely to recurve northeastwards during next 3-4 days. • High convergence over northeast & adjoining east India very likely due to strong moist southerly / southwesterly winds from Bay of Bengal at lower tropospheric levels till 26 September, 2020. • A trough runs from northeast Uttar Pradesh to north Maharashtra at lower & middle tropospheric levels. It is very likely to persists till tomorrow, the 24 September, 2020. • Under the influence of the above systems: (i) Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with Isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Konkan & Goa and Gujarat Region on 23rd; Assam & Meghalaya on 23rd & 24th; Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim; East Uttar Pradesh on 23rd-25th and Bihar on 23rd26th September, 2020. (ii) Isolated extremely heavy rainfall also very likely over over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and north Konkan on 23rd and Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh on 24th & 25th September, 2020. • Moderate thunderstorm with lightning very likely at isolated places over Gujarat state, southeast Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada during next 12 hours. |
