| Abstract/Description: | Portuguese man of war or blue bottles (Physalia physalis) belong to the phylum Cnidaria. Here we reported the presence of this cnidarians from different beaches of Mumbai coast in Maharashtra state. This observation was made in the monsoon season which is pretty near to the famous Ganesh festival of Maharashtra. In the present study, the occurrence of Physalia physalis with documentation of various size ranges was recorded from August 2018 to September 2018 via beach walks in low tide period. |
