| Abstract/Description: | Land Resources Information helps in identifying potential regions for prioritizing investment in Food Parks. Village level data helps in minimizing fertilizer misapplications at farm level.Land Resources Information helps in increasing land productivity and in decreasing cost of production. It can improve the nutrients use efficiency and reduce the fertilizer subsidies to government and improve the soil health and environment. Government should support for generating village level land resources inventory and database for Grama Panchayath Agricultural land use planning. Awareness creation among different stakeholders on use of land resource information to promote sustainable agricultural development. |
