| Abstract/Description: | A five day hands-on training programme on Estimation of pesticide residues in food commodities was conducted during January 16-20, 2023. The training was inaugurated by Dr. S. C. Dubey, Hon’ble Assistant Director General (Plant Protection and Biosafety), Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). |
| Description: | Training programme is attended by 16 professors / scientists / researchers working in pesticide residues laboratories at different State Agricultural Universities, Plant Quarantine Station and Export Inspection Agency. Dr. Dubey in his inaugural address emphasized the importance of generating reliable and authentic pesticide residue data which is required to ensure food safety and smooth international trade.The 5-day training program focused on providing hands-on experience for all the processes (sample extraction and clean up) involved in determination of pesticide residues in food commodities on LC-MS / MS & GC - MS / MS as per ISO / IEC 17025:2017. |
