Abstract/Description: | Dr. Vandana Tripathy, Network Coordinator, AINP-PR & Scheme In-charge, MPRNL, highlighted that the Project Coordinating Cell, AINP-PR, is the nodal centre for implementation for the DA&FW sponsored central sector scheme, Monitoring of Pesticide Residues at National Level (MPRNL) coordinating the activities of 33 participating laboratories of different ministries and departments (Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Environment and Forest, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizer, Ministry of Commerce, Indian Council of Agriculture Research, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and State Agricultural Universities) located across the country. All the testing laboratories under the scheme are accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017, for generation of quality data. |
Description: | Agriculture for regulatory decisions and educating the farmers about safe and judicious use of pesticides. During the visit, the laboratory’s capability of testing more than 400 pesticides in a single run, on GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS was demonstrated to the Hon’ble dignitaries. The dignitaries took keen interest in understanding the various processes and appreciated the efforts of the Network Coordinator, AINP-PR and the entire team of Project Coordinating Cell, in successfully running the scheme. |
