| Abstract/Description: | Salt-affected soils in arid and semi-arid tracts of the India are prone to deficiency of micronutrients. A considerable scientific knowledge has been made available about the methods of diagnosis of micronutrient disorders and their management more efficiently. The deficiency of Zn is now declining due to regular zinc fertilization. Most of the farmers apply zinc and other micro-nutrient fertilizers through broadcast, basal, top dressing, band or seed/seedling coating and foliar sprays but use of zinc in rainfed crops is very less than irrigated crops. |
